Acclaimed artist and filmmaker Yael Bartana (b. 1970, Israel) presented her recent work at the Guggenheim Museum's Conversations with Contemporary Artists series. Her works examine and question widely accepted social rituals and structures regarding the cultural identity and historical construction of her native country and the tensions and conflicts that arise as a result. Bartana's recent project “...and Europe will be stunned” was featured as the official Polish participation at the 2011 Venice Biennale and screened as part of this program.
