As part of the exhibition Frank Lloyd Wright: From Within Outward, which showcases 64 of the pioneering architect’s projects, the Guggenheim commissioned new animations of Wright’s unrealized projects to give viewers a better sense of how his spaces are organized. John Pugh, a graduate student at the MIT School of Architecture and Planning, describes his approach to animating Wright’s design for the Living City, 1958, and discusses what the experience taught him about Wright’s theories on land ownership, automobile ownership, and democracy.
