As part of the exhibition Frank Lloyd Wright: From Within Outward, which showcases 64 of the pioneering architect’s projects, the Guggenheim commissioned new animations of Wright’s unrealized projects to give viewers a better sense of how his spaces are organized. Justin Chen, a student at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, speaks about his experience animating Wright’s Mile High Office Tower, the Illinois, Chicago, 1956, explaining how this led him to discover many elements of Wright’s design not apparent at first glance. Chen’s animation is the first full rendering of the Mile High Office Tower which, due to Wright’s forward-looking design, could represent the past, present, or future.
