As part of the exhibition Frank Lloyd Wright: From Within Outward, which showcases 64 of the pioneering architect’s projects, the Guggenheim commissioned new animations of Wright’s unrealized projects to give viewers a better sense of how his spaces are organized. Vivien Liu, a student at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, speaks about the animation she created for Wright’s design of the Arizona State Capitol, Oasis, Phoenix, Arizona, 1957. Liu describes how Wright’s impressive representation of geometry through manual drafting is relevant in today’s era of over-reliance on digital tools.
