Campaign for the Guggenheim
Your support is requested and very much needed as the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation Board of Trustees seeks to dramatically increase the foundation’s endowment. Through the support of all its members and friends, the Board has set a goal to more than double the foundation’s current endowment. Building a strong endowment is crucial to ensuring the Guggenheim’s vitality and financial security in the future.
This impressive increase will provide the financial structure to enhance current educational programs and exhibitions, increase and conserve the museum’s permanent collection, and expand the operations of this world-class and internationally renowned institution. Endowment funds will provide support for several major new initiatives, including architecture, asian art, as well as maintaining the museum’s defining position as the leader in Western contemporary art.
Donations will also provide the needed capital to preserve the iconic Frank Lloyd Wright building on Fifth Avenue, one of the top tourist destinations in New York City. All donors of a major gift of $50,000 or more will be given prominent recognition in the museum’s rotunda and will be given the opportunity to name space in the museum, or to name a program or position, in accordance with the level of their gift.
