Mr. William Mack is a Founder and Managing Partner of Apollo Real Estate Advisors, L.P. The Apollo Real Estate Investment Funds have invested in greater than $40 billion of diversified real estate ventures throughout the world. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, a publicly traded REIT that owns and operates a portfolio of Class A office and office/flex buildings located throughout the United States.

He is Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania and the Vice Chairman of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. Mr. Mack is a former Director of The Bear Stearns Companies, Inc., Vail Resorts, Inc., and Wyndham International, Inc. Also a Board Member of the Regional Advisory Board of J.P. Morgan Chase and a past Director of the New York State Urban Development Corporation. A past Chairman of the Long Island Power Authority, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center Development Corporation of New York, and the New York Convention Center Operating Corporation.


Jennifer Blei Stockman, co-chair
President, SRGF, National Chair, Republican Majority for Choice, Greenwich, CT

Former founder and CEO of Stockman & Associates Inc, an international business advisory firm, with offices in 5 countries, which specialized in the technology sector, whose clients included Fortune 500 companies in the US, Europe, and Japan.

Former Vice President of International Planning and Analysis Center (IPAC), Sears World Trade, and held various management positions at IBM.

For the last 14 years, committed to not-for-profit institutions serving as National Chair of the Republican Majority for Choice and its PAC, which supports an inclusive and more tolerant GOP.

Other Boards include the WISH List (Women in the Senate and House), Bruce Museum Council Founder, SUNY Purchase Performing Arts Center, Greenwich Country Day School, Conyers Farm Association, and the YWCA (received Heart of Greenwich award).

Served on photography committees at MOMA, Guggenheim, the Metropolitan Museum, and serves on the National Council of the Aspen Art Museum.

Author of numerous op-eds and is frequently interviewed on FOX and CNN.

Received an MBA in Finance from George Washington University.

Resides in Greenwich and Aspen with her husband, David Stockman, former Director of OMB under President Reagan. The Stockmans have two children.


David Ganek
Level Global Investors, New York, NY

David Ganek is the Managing Partner and Head Portfolio Manager at Level Global Investors, L.P., a long/short hedge fund with offices in both Greenwich, CT and Manhattan. Prior to launching Level, David was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at S/A/C Capital Advisors, L.L.C. Before joining S/A/C, he was a Managing Partner at G&O Partners, a market neutral arbitrage hedge fund. David began his career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette where he worked in the risk arbitrage division. David has been a passionate collector of contemporary art over the last twenty years. He is actively involved with several nonprofits, specifically children and family-oriented organizations such as Robin Hood and the Southampton Fresh Air Home. He graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with a B.A. in Government. David and Danielle, his wife, and their three children, Harry, Nicky, and Zoe, reside in Manhattan.


Frederick B. Henry
President, The Bohen Foundation, New York, NY

President of the Bohen Foundation whose primary focus is commissioning new works of art with particular emphasis on film, video, new media, and installations.

Recent projects include new works by Rachel Howard, Gary Simmons, Isaac Julien, Tom Sachs, and others. He is also Chairman of the American Center Foundation, formerly the American Center in Paris.

He serves as Director of Meredith Corporation and member of its Compensation and Nominating Committees. Practiced law with Morgan, Lewis and Bockius in Philadelphia (1970–1977).

Graduated from Dartmouth College and University of Pennsylvania Law School. Past philanthropic Board memberships include: Dia Center for the Arts, Whitney Museum of American Art, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Georges Pompidou Art and Culture Foundation, Public Agenda Foundation.

Lives in Aspen and New York City.


Thomas Krens, Director
Director, Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation

Thomas Krens was named Director of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation in 1988. He graduated from Williams College with a B.A. in political economy in 1969. He holds a M.A. in art from the State University of New York, and a M.B.A. from Yale University. From 1971 to 1988, he was an Assistant Professor in the Art Department at Williams College; in 1981 he also became Director of the Williams College Museum of Art. Through his position at Williams in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Mr. Krens was the originator and founding chairman of the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), one of the largest museums of contemporary art in the world.

Under Mr. Krens’s leadership, the Guggenheim Foundation has built an unprecedented international network of cultural facilities that includes the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, Italy, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in Spain, the Deutsche Guggenheim in Berlin, Germany, and the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum in Las Vegas. Mr. Krens has been a leader in establishing international collaborations among major museums including with the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia, and with the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, Austria.

Mr. Krens is responsible for exhibitions and programming for all Guggenheim museums worldwide. Since 1992, the Guggenheim has produced more than 250 major exhibitions. These projects have encompassed definitive retrospectives of major American and international artists, including Matthew Barney, Georg Baselitz, Francesco Clemente, Dan Flavin, Jenny Holzer, Ellsworth Kelly, Roy Lichtenstein, Mario Merz, Robert Morris, Claes Oldenburg, Nam June Paik, Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist, Daniel Buren, David Smith, Richard Prince, and Cai Guo Qiang; historical surveys of 20th-century art such as The Great Utopia: The Russian and Soviet Avant-Garde, 1915–1932 (1992), Picasso and the Age of Iron (1993), The Italian Metamorphosis, 1943–1968 (1994), and Abstraction in the Twentieth Century: Total Risk, Freedom, Discipline (1996), and Kazimir Malevich: Suprematism (2003); and exhibitions that have presented the artistic heritage of many countries and regions: Africa: The Art of a Continent (1996), China: 5,000 Years (1998), Brazil: Body & Soul (2001), The Aztec Empire (2004), RUSSIA! (2005), and Spanish Painting from El Greco to Picasso: Time, Truth, and History (2006).

Likewise, the collection has greatly expanded under Mr. Krens’s leadership. Approximately 60-percent larger than it was in 1988, the Foundation’s permanent collection has also increased greatly in depth and breadth.

Mr. Krens is a member of the Association of Art Museum Directors, the Réunion des Musées, the Council on Foreign Relations, New York, and the Societé Kandinsky, Paris. He has received Honorary Doctorates from Williams College, Yale University, and the State University of New York at Albany and in 2000 was awarded the Special Prize for Architectural Patronage at the Venice Architecture Biennale. In 2006 he was decorated with the Order of the Aztec Eagle by the Government of Mexico, that country’s highest award to a foreign national and in 2007, the American Federation of Arts (AFA) honored Mr. Krens as a recipient of its Cultural Leadership Award for his role in museum development and programming nationally and internationally.


Linda Macklowe
Art has played a major role in Linda Macklowe’s life from her student days, through her professional career, and to her life as a collector and patron. Linda was a curator of the Hammarskjold Plaza Sculpture Garden and Wave Hill in Riverdale, New York, and she served on the Mayor’s Advisory Committee for the Visual Arts under Mayor John Lindsay. She has also been an advisor for public art projects in Los Angeles, Seattle and Aspen, Colorado.

She currently serves on the Board of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, D.C. and the Executive Committee of the American Friends of Israel Museum in Jerusalem, as well as the Painting and Sculpture Acquisition Committee of the Whitney Museum.

Linda and Harry Macklowe have been actively collecting post-war and contemporary art throughout their married life.

Vice-President of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation since 1986 and Trustee since 1979; served as Chairman of the Education Committee from 1990–2000, and 2007.

Chairman of Strategic Planning 2004.

Past President of the Giovani Amici of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection; has served as Chairman of the Auditorium Committee; President of the Associates Committee; and Honorary Chairman of the Associates Annual Dance.

Edward H. Meyer
Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer, Ocean Road Advisors, Inc. Retired Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President, Grey Global Group, Inc.

Edward H. Meyer, is the Chairman, Chief Executive and Chief Investment Officer of Ocean Road Advisors, Inc., an investment management company that directs the investment and related management activities of several leading New York City-based families. Ocean Road Advisors, Inc. manages a large portfolio invested in a broad range of investment strategies, including public and private equities, hedge funds, real estate, and venture capital. The Company also oversees the activities of several large and active philanthropic foundations.

Mr. Meyer is the past Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Grey Global Group, advertising and marketing company that he built and then sold in 2006. Grey is involved in a large number of marketing communications businesses globally in numerous countries around the world. Under his leadership, Grey’s revenues soared by a factor of over 40 times, from $29.5 million in 1970 to more than $1.3 billion in 2003.

Mr. Meyer has served as a Director of a number of public companies, and is currently on the boards of Harman International Industries, Ethan Allen Interiors Inc., National Cinemedia LLC. He is a life trustee of the New York University Medical Center. Mr. Meyer is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Film Society of Lincoln Center.
A Cornell graduate with honors in economics, Mr. Meyer began his career at Bloomingdale's.

Stephen C. Swid
Stephen Swid is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SESAC, Inc., one of the three performing rights organizations in the USA.

From February, 1990 until January, 1995, Mr. Stephen Swid was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Westview Press, a scholarly book publisher based in Boulder, Colorado and from 1989 until 1997 the Chairman and Chief Executive Office of SPIN, a music and youth culture magazine. From 2003 to 2006 Mr. Swid was a Director of Bally Total Fitness, a New York Stock Exchange company, which owns and operates health clubs.

From November 1986, until May 1989, Mr. Swid was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SBK Entertainment World, Inc., a leading music publisher and worldwide entertainment services company. For twelve years until July 1986 he was Founder, Co-Chairman, and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Knoll International Holdings, Inc., one of the nation's largest privately held corporations with annual revenues approximating $2 billion. He was also Co-Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Knoll International, a public company.

A graduate of Ohio State University, Mr. Swid was Founder and Senior Partner of Swid Investors, an investment limited partnership, general partner of City Associates, a private management company, senior investment officer of the Oppenheimer Fund and securities analyst of the Dreyfus Fund.

Due to his interest in foreign relations and international diplomacy, Mr. Swid is a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and past Director of the East West Institute. In May 1976, he attended the National Security Conference of the Air War College at Maxwell Air Force Base.

Mr. Stephen Swid is an active supporter of the arts and education and currently serves as a Director of The Municipal Art Society of New York. He is a Trustee and Chairman of the Executive & Finance Committee of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and is a member of the Visiting Committee on 20th Century Art for the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

He has also served as a Trustee of the Horace Mann School and as Executive Vice President of the Board of the Lenox School, New York.
