Voids left between buildings are a reflection of the past and aspiration of the future. To study is to remember, contemplate, and question. To sleep is to relax, meditate, and rejuvenate. This shelter finds meaning in context by bridging the void and offering a moment in passage. Water and light animate the monolithic forms that awaken memories of fallen monuments—a skewed cornerstone, a punctured slab, and wall of ivy.
