Designed by Peter Rechenberg
From: Geelong, Australia
Shelter location: Australia
Date accepted: August 25, 2009
Designed as a beach-side artist’s studio sited in the dunes on the outskirts of an Australian coastal township. The concept behind ‘Urban driftwood’ is the re-use of discarded & leftover materials salvaged from local urban demolition & building sites. These materials are re-used to form the structure of this shelter. The composition being an abstracted vision of the collections of driftwood & jetsam that washed up on the overlooked beach.
