Anish Kapoor: Memory is a landmark exhibition by internationally celebrated artist Anish Kapoor and the first in the Deutsche Bank Series at the Guggenheim. Conceived for both the Deutsche Guggenheim in Berlin and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, Memory "takes up the challenge of working within the very tight restrictions of the Guggenheim spaces," says Assistant Curator of Asian Art, Sandhini Poddar. Speaking of Frank Lloyd Wright's Guggenheim Museum, Kapoor states, "This building is one of the great buildings of the 20th century. It's about the process of passage . . . and I wanted to take it on at some level."
