The site is the South Pole. A heavily insulated steel framed dome, pierced by telescopes, permanently clothed in ice. It’s designed to shelter its inhabitant from the extreme environments of the real world and Google Earth – extreme cold and overwhelming information. It’s an unavoidable object, on ground or from space, a retreat for explorers to forget the outside, a place to rest and contemplate the stars in the (Google) sky.
