The High Line Studio frames inspiring views of the park and Chelsea for the artist, while also framing the artist himself for passers-by to observe and learn about him. His sleeping quarters are tucked into the structure to give the artist privacy during his rest. The linearity and materiality of the park are reflected in the shelter. The structure blocks harsh sun angles from the south, while allowing breezes and shallow sunrays throughout its length.
