Located in Los Angeles, this shelter has a simple floor plan but the rich elevations unfold as you walk around the shelter creating a dance with 3D, which mimics the surrounding landscape. The larger windows face the north to get light without heat gain, while the concrete walls face the south to block the heat. Clearstory windows allow for natural ventilation. Built-ins allow for plenty of storage and seating.
