The shelter design uses local architectural, notably the natural stacked coral masonry and me tal roofing, blended with the modern me tal and glass of the study bay protruding from the cliff face. The sleeping platform also takes advantage of the ocean panorama and the serene effect it creates. The blended theme continues as the impression is likened to a bird preparing for flight, even as the ocean exerts its calming influence.
