Spider House
Designed by Chris McPherson
Designed by Chris McPherson
From: Glenning Valley, Australia
Shelter location: Australia
Date accepted: July 15, 2009
The spider house is a natural timber cocoon
suspended high above the forest on steel "spider web" cables. The
Australian spiders that use a curved tree leaf, woven into the centre of their
web, to provide a safe and warm shelter, inspire the design. The design is
suspended high over the forest on beautiful Mountain George in the Blue
Mountains range, east of Sydney.
