WORKING JAIMA
Designed by Quirina Morales

Shelter location: Morocco
Date accepted: August 31, 2009
The model is designed in order to offer a place to sleep and study. To me the best place on Earth for that is the desert. The measures and modeling of the shelter are the result of two main purposes:
1. A compact and small shelter so that it can easily be moved.
2. Anatomic spaces to sleep and work and even to keep personal things.
The used materials are inspired of traditional jaimas. A triangular light structure is wrapped by several flexible layers for isolation and finally the outer layer is made out of traditional camel hair fabric.
