"Weathered" mimics the wind brushed dunes of the Sahara desert landscape with its streamline curves. The shelter is submerged into the sand so that occupants can seek relief from direct solar radiation and strong desert winds. By submerging the shelter, thermal exchange between the earth and the sheltered space aids in maintaining a cool temperature for the occupants.
