The Butterfly Shelter

The shelter is made of local mahogany wood. The roof is made of recycled me tal. The sleeping and learning spaces are separated. The design arises from considering the environmental conditions such as, topography, temperature, winds. The area where the shelter is located is swampy which is reflected in the foundation design. In order to protect from insects, blue mosquito nets are inserted on the walls (although butterflies are welcome).
