Jury and Prizes

The competition's submission period runs from June 8 through August 23. After the closing date—11 pm EST on August 23, 2009—students from the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture will choose 10 finalists to be included in the People’s Prize voting, which will run from September 7 through October 10. At the same time, a panel of experts will convene in New York to review all shelter designs and select the winner of the Juried Prize. Two prizes—a People’s Prize and a Juried Prize—will be awarded. Winners of both prizes will be announced on the Guggenheim's Web site and at the Guggenheim Museum’s 50th Anniversary Celebration on October 21, 2009.
