Wrap-UpModeratorPeter G. BrownOne theme that’s stood out for me in the recent posts, and in the live chat yesterday, is the idea of keeping the commercial in its place. "(A)n interconnected personhood, greater ties to the natural world, and an awareness of the inequalities in the world"--Peter cites these three classic values of art. I think these values will not be new to art of the future, but their appearance and qualities will be different. New Art may be more actionable, may lead people to adopt new ways of living and being. And great New Art will address Simran's challenge and maintain its vitality in the world's virtual global village.
