Between 2006 and 2008, the Guggenheim produced a series of podcasts about exhibitions, education programs, and the restoration of the museum building. You can download the audio files at the archive page.
The Reel to Reel Collection
The Reel to Reel collection consists of 675 reel-to-reel audiotapes documenting museum lectures, symposia, and radio shows from 1952 through 1990. Guest speakers include artists discussing their own work as well as art historians, gallery and auction house owners, and private collectors who were instrumental in the museum's evolution.
Multimedia tours on the Guggenheim’s new interactive app include audio as a way to explore special exhibitions and the permanent collection as well as the architecture of the museum’s landmark building. The app is offered free for use on provided devices with museum admission or may be downloaded free to your own smartphone for use inside the museum and at home.
