Artist Khadim Ali leads a program combining storytelling and art making using the one-thousand year old Persian epic, the Shahnameh (“Book of kings”), to tell tales of contemporary culture and politics. Join us for this unique workshop that provides multiple suggestions and ideas for teaching and learning in the classroom. FREE (includes curriculum materials). Registration required. Learn techniques for analyzing and interpreting modern and contemporary art in New York City's premier art museums. This summer institute for educators of grades 3–12 is co-hosted by the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
