School and educator programs use works of art in the Guggenheim's permanent collection and special exhibitions as a foundation for learning. A variety of programs, both at the museum and in the classroom, offer opportunities for teachers and students to participate in:

Inquiry-based tours and workshops

Multi-session visit and outreach programs

Professional-development workshops

All programs address the New York State Learning Standards as well as the NYC Department of Education's Blueprint for Teaching and Learning in the Visual Arts. Programs and resources also focus on school curriculum areas including art, English-language arts, social studies, and technology.
