The conservators bring together a vast array of technical experience and work closely with the museum’s curators and various other departments to preserve both the permanent collection and artwork on loan for special exhibitions. The Conservation Department engages in projects aimed at researching materials and techniques used by the artists and implementing new methods of conserving complex or nontraditional works of art.
