Major Acquisition > The Panza Collection
In 1991 and 1992, the Guggenheim acquired, through purchase and gift, over three hundred and fifty works of Minimalist, Post-Minimalist, and Conceptual art from the renowned collection of Italian Count Giuseppe Panza di Biumo and his wife, Giovanna, transforming the Guggenheim into one of the world's leading centers for the exhibition, preservation, and study of the art of the 1960s and 1970s.
