Museum Mile Festival

Tuesday, June 10, 2014, 6–9 pm

The Guggenheim participates in the 36th annual Museum Mile Festival. Festival attendees can walk down Fifth Avenue between 82nd Street and 105th Street while visiting nine of New York City's finest cultural institutions, which are open free to the public throughout the evening. Exhibitions on view at the Guggenheim include Italian Futurism, 1909–1944: Reconstructing the Universe; A Year with Children 2014; and the Thannhauser Collection.

Outdoor family activities at the Guggenheim will include chalk drawings and treasure hunts for shape and nature motifs found in the architecture of the building. Avenida B, New York's only classic salsa dura band, will be performing live at the Guggenheim throughout the festival.

All ages welcome.
