Art After Dark
Join us for an after-hours private viewing of current exhibitions, including Carrie Mae Weems: Three Decades of Photography and Video which the New York Times calls “a ripe, questioning, and beautiful show.” Once the general public has left for the day, the museum’s landmark building will fill with the sounds of music playlists selected by MacArthur Fellow Carrie Mae Weems and Carl Hancock Rux, an award-winning poet, playwright, novelist, essayist, and recording artist. A cash bar serves wine and beer.
Free for members, $20 general admission (credit card only at the door).
The playlist will include songs by these artists:
Bob Marley & The Wailers
Ike & Tina Turner
Carl Hancock Rux
