Art After Dark

Friday, December 13, 2013 @ 9 pm

In celebration of the exhibitions Christopher Wool and Robert Motherwell: Early Collages, the final Art After Dark of 2013 will take place from 9 pm–midnight on Friday, December 13. Enjoy a private view of all exhibitions on view, a cash bar, and playlist and live performances by City of the Sun.

Lead guitarist John Pita and rhythm guitarist Avi Snow created City of the Sun in 2010, playing in the subways, streets, and local bars of New York City. They began as buskers and their driving rhythms and fluid melodies immediately caught the attention of New York locals. City’s sound is distinctly eclectic—a mélange of flamenco, blues, and indie/folk rock. They keep a full schedule including recent performances in Sleep No More, TED Conference events, opening for Chromeo and DJ Questlove at a Seeds of Peace charity concert, and a new residency at Hotel Chantelle. They continue to develop their sound, building on the guitar rhythm and riff foundation with vocals, percussion, and electronic soundscapes.

$18, free for members.

Proudly supported by Beck's.
