Sharon Vatsky is Director of Education at the Guggenheim Museum, where she supervises School/Teacher/Family Programs and oversees the development of curriculum materials for Guggenheim exhibitions in New York and Bilbao. In her previous position as Curator of Education at the Queens Museum of Art, she formulated programming for dozens of exhibitions of modern and contemporary art for audiences of all ages. Vatsky also teaches graduate courses in museum education at the City University of New York (CUNY) and Teachers College, Columbia University, and has taught college level courses in drawing, painting, art history, and arts education. She holds graduate degrees from the State University of New York at Albany, Hartford Art School, and an undergraduate degree from New York University. She is the 2008 recipient of the Charles Marshall Robertson Award, which is presented annually to an educator “who has made a significant contribution to art education.”
