The Guggenheim's curatorial team includes many of the most influential scholars and voices in the international art world. Guggenheim curators are comfortable working in a cross-disciplinary, cooperative structure that recognizes that art transcends the boundaries of specific mediums like painting, sculpture, or video. Their exhibitions have ranged from focused, scholarly inquiries to sweeping surveys. Under the curators' direction, scores of Guggenheim catalogues have become the definitive volumes in their areas of artistic investigation.
