WAYS TO VOLUNTEER

Visitor Experience Surveys
The Visitor Services Department at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum issues Visitor Experience Surveys on a daily basis. These surveys, varying by topic (e.g. exhibition design, dining, security, etc.), help the museum collect valuable details regarding our visitors’ perceptions of and reactions to their museum visit. This feedback contributes to the development of future museum initiatives.

If you enjoy visiting museums, interacting with people, and are patient, approachable and customer service-oriented, then this might be a fun assignment to consider. If you are interesting in volunteering in this way, please send a cover letter and resume to visitorinfo@guggenheim.org.

Assistive Listening Devices, Daily Tours
Coordinate use of assistive listening devices during daily, public tours. Pass out devices to all tour visitors, ensure devices are working properly, and follow tours to accommodate visitors leaving or joining tours. Volunteers are needed to cover one or two shifts per week. Shifts are offered daily from 10:45 am–12:30 pm and 12:45–2:30 pm. Volunteers are welcome to cover both shifts in one day.
