Temporary/Project-Based Positions

Museum Educators

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is seeking museum educators to join our dynamic team of Sackler Educators who lead tours and workshops for pre K–grade 12 students and for families, in our museum galleries and our studio. Educators will develop a solid understanding of Guggenheim’s core collection and temporary exhibitions, while applying our pedagogical approach to inquiry teaching in order to provide our visitors with excellent experiences which are fun and memorable. In addition to teaching and assisting with programs on- and off-site, duties include regularly attending monthly paid professional development days. This is an on-call assignment, for which the Educator is paid per tour. There are no benefits associated with this role.

Temporary Project Curatorial Assistant

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking a temporary Project Curatorial Assistant. This position is responsible for assisting the Abu Dhabi Project curatorial team, including managing curatorial paper and electronic records for potential acquisitions, collection artworks and artists, and exhibitions; conducting research on acquisitions and exhibitions; preparing short texts; providing support for publications and website development; and assisting with administrative needs.

TEMPORARY TECHNICIAN, MEDIA ARTS

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking a part-time technician who specializes in the installation of artworks that employ video, audio, film, computers and all other types of electronic media. This position will require concentrated periods of work during exhibition changeovers and intermittent temporary work during exhibitions. This position will report to the Head of Media Arts.

Seasonal Sales Associates

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is seeking Seasonal Sales Associates. The Seasonal Sales Associate position is responsible for providing all guests of the Museum Store with exceptional customer service, while adhering to policies and procedures in order to maximize sales and ensure quality experiences for visitors. Full-time employees are needed for this position who can work through the holiday season.
