Project Manager, Publishing and Digital Media, Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking a Project Manager. As a member of the Publishing and Digital Media Department, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the schedule and development of various content deliverables for the second and final phases, Latin America and Middle East and North Africa, including a bilingual collection catalogue, audio guides, exhibition didactics and brochures, videos, and online texts, as well as managing the review process for multiple parties internal to and external to the Guggenheim. The Project Manager must have exceptional project management and communications skills and comprehensive knowledge of print publishing and digital media development lifecycles.

Project Archivist

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking a Project Archivist that will be an integral part of a project team responsible for arrangement and description of four key audiovisual collections in the Archives: the Audiovisual Recordings collection, Performances and Public Programs recordings, Works & Process at the Guggenheim records, and Ultan Guilfoyle records. The Project Archivist will also play an integral role in an institution-wide audiovisual recording survey and select digitization. The Project Archivist is a 12-month position supported by a grant received by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

Museum Educators

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is seeking museum educators to join our dynamic team of Sackler Educators who lead tours and workshops for pre K–grade 12 students and for families, in our museum galleries and our studio. Educators will develop a solid understanding of Guggenheim’s core collection and temporary exhibitions, while applying our pedagogical approach to inquiry teaching in order to provide our visitors with excellent experiences which are fun and memorable. In addition to teaching and assisting with programs on- and off-site, duties include regularly attending monthly paid professional development days. This is an on-call assignment, for which the Educator is paid per tour. There are no benefits associated with this role.

TEMPORARY TECHNICIAN, MEDIA ARTS

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking a part-time technician who specializes in the installation of artworks that employ video, audio, film, computers and all other types of electronic media. This position will require concentrated periods of work during exhibition changeovers and intermittent temporary work during exhibitions. This position will report to the Head of Media Arts.
