The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking an Assistant Curator/Curatorial Assistant, Asian Art. As a member of the Curatorial Department, the Assistant Curator/Curatorial Assistant, Asian Art is responsible for curatorial research and implementation support for Guggenheim-organized Asian art exhibitions and scholarly publications, including the Robert H. Assistant Production Manager

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking an Assistant Production Manager, who will be responsible for assisting with print production for all exhibition catalogues, the Guggenheim guide, retail products, and digital image production for both multimedia guides and the online collection. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong communication and organizational skills, work well in a team environment and must have a keen eye for detail in order to produce fine art publications and related digital media content. Associate Director, Benefit Programs

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is seeking an Associate Director, Benefit Programs. Located in SoHo, New York, this full-time position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Guggenheim’s employee benefit programs, including the annual open enrollment process for each benefit plan available to our 300+ employee community. The Associate Director will serve as an important resource for employees with benefit questions, and he/she will also assume the role of primary Guggenheim contact for benefit plan consultants and benefit providers. In addition to organizing education sessions related to benefit programs, the Associate Director will be involved in researching and arranging other learning opportunities for Guggenheim staff.

Associate Editor

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking an Associate Editor. As a member of the Publishing and Digital Media Department, the primary responsibility of the Associate Editor is to be the project editor for a minimum of 2-3 exhibitions per year, including catalogues and all related exhibition texts, digital media content and assisting with the editing of at least 2 additional exhibitions per year. The Associate Editor is also responsible for any miscellaneous text editing for the department as determined by the Managing Editor.

Director of Media and Public Relations

The Director of Media and Public Relations plans and implements strategic media relations, communications, and other outreach efforts for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation (SRGF), the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (SRGM), and global cultural initiatives originated by SRGF. Working with the Deputy Director and Chief of Global Communications, the Director leads the media and public relations strategy for SRGM and contributes to the overall strategy for SRGF. The position also provides counsel and advice across the organization. High-priority internal clients include the Director’s Office, Curatorial, Development, Education Legal and Visitor Services. The primary goal of the position is to raise overall visibility of SRGM and SRGF to enhance reputation, audience development, donor support, and membership. The position works in collaboration with the communications staff at the Guggenheim Bilbao and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. In the future, this position also will work with staff at the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.

Editorial Assistant

Manager of Special Events

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking a Manager of Special Events. The Manager of Special Events is responsible for the project management of events offered to individual, institutional and corporate supporters of the Guggenheim Museum. As one of the benefits of Corporate Membership, the Manager (in collaboration with the Director of Special Events and the other Manager of Special Events) will work on the organization of events for private groups. Each member of the events team will manage a portfolio of corporate clients and the corresponding events. Manager, Media Arts

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is seeking a Manager, Media Arts to specialize in the installation of artworks that employ video, audio, film, computers, and any other type of electronic media. Primary responsibilities include oversight of successful installation and proper maintenance of all multi-media artworks, maintenance of equipment inventory, preparation of diagrams for installation in NY and other venues, and identification and purchase of appropriate equipment for artworks. Managing Editor

Marketing Manager

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is seeking a Marketing Manager. This position will report to the Director of Marketing, and will work in close collaboration with the Associate Director Marketing and Associate Director, Digital Marketing Manager. The Marketing Manager will take a lead role in developing strategic integrated marketing programs that leverage traditional and digital media to support the Works & Process performing arts series, tourism development, as well as select exhibitions, programs, and initiatives at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. The Marketing Manager is responsible for all aspects of marketing project management, setting project management schedules, including media planning and placement, design and production of materials, deliverables, and reviews for multiple parties internal to and external to the Guggenheim, and ensuring that campaigns remain on track to meet strategic objectives. Inter- and cross-departmental collaboration, and external relationship management with media partners, vendors, agencies, and designers is integral to the Marketing Manager’s role.

Senior Manager, Communications

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation (SRGF) is seeking a Senior Manager, Communications. The position will report to and collaborate with the Director, Communications – Foundation and Collaborations, and assume significant project management responsibilities on a variety of departmental initiatives including new international projects.
