Assistant Chief Engineer

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Assistant Chief Engineer is a member of a team responsible for ensuring that all building facilities and systems (e.g., heating and air conditioning, lighting, electricity, plumbing, and general building maintenance) required for the operation of the museum buildings are in good working order and running properly to maintain museum conditions. This is achieved through constant monitoring and inspection of all building systems (building engineers are on watch around the clock). The Assistant Chief Engineer will also perform an important quality assurance function.

Associate Registrar, Exhibitions

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking an Associate Registrar, Exhibitions. As a member of the Registrar Department, the Associate Registrar, Exhibitions is responsible for organizing and managing all phases of the assembly and dispersal of major international exhibitions for the museum, its global affiliates, and outside venues.

Associate, Corporate Development

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking an Associate, Corporate Development. Curator for Urban Studies and Digital Initiatives

The Guggenheim is now looking to hire a Curator for Urban Studies and Digital Initiatives, who can further articulate and advance the museum’s mission to be an agent of social good through its rich array of public programming, both on and off-site and on-line. The new curator will devise a plan for developing the museum’s engagement with urban studies, technology, architecture, and design beyond what has already been so successfully accomplished. This will require a vision that looks beyond traditional exhibition programming to more discursive models such as think tanks, public forums, online content development, and the establishment of rich networks for intellectual exchange around the world.

DESIGNER, INTERACTIVE

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking a Designer to serve as steward of the Guggenheim brand in its digital implementations and to support the Foundation’s mandate to stand as a leader among museums in interactive content creation and worldwide distribution. As a member of the Interactive Department, the Designer is responsible for the design and user experience vision of the museum’s websites and digital communications. With a primary focus on Guggenheim.org and exhibition microsites, this position both creates new designs and features and performs design production, overseeing the design from concept through quality assurance. The position maintains design standards and style guides both throughout the main Guggenheim website and in third party sites/systems.

Digital Media Associate

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking a Digital Media Associate. As a member of the Publishing and Digital Media Department, the Digital Media Associate will support the day-to-day production of the current Guggenheim app, as well as prepare for future digital initiatives that further the museum’s goals. S/he will assist in all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and content entry through to archiving. The job requires follow up with content providers to ensure on time asset delivery. Additionally s/he will oversee the quality and scheduling of content entry work by freelancers. This position will also assist the Manager, Digital Media and Rights with rights management duties.

Digital Media Content Editor

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking a Digital Media Content Editor for the Publishing and Digital Media Department. The Digital Media Content Editor will oversee the Guggenheim Museum’s multimedia content: lead the content development for the museum’s app; edit exhibition materials and general information for the Guggenheim app; work closely with authors and curators to craft and edit audio scripts; create all multimedia text schedules; manage and execute content entry for digital collection materials and assist with collection editing; update content in TMS and proprietary app CMS; assist project editors on exhibition and catalogue-related materials as well as e-books; manage freelance contractors.

The Financial Analyst will report to the Budget Manager and interact regularly with the Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
