YCC members are invited to join curators Megan Fontanella and Lauren Hinkson for a private tour of two exhibitions featuring works from the Guggenheim’s permanent collection. Surface, Support, Process: The 1960s Monochrome in the Guggenheim Collection reveals how an apparently simple formal device served for many artists as the point of departure for a complex re-evaluation of painting and sculpture. Pop Objects and Icons from the Guggenheim Collection demonstrates various artists’ engagement with Pop art and the Guggenheim's ongoing interest in the legacy of the style.
