The
Guggenheim, along with nine other cultural institutions along New
York’s Museum Mile, participated in the 34th Annual Museum Mile
Festival on Tuesday, June 12, from 6 to 9 pm. The mile-long block
party and visual art celebration offered an array of performances and
outdoor activities from 82nd to 105th Street, as well as free museum
admission. At the Guggenheim, jazz/soul group People’s Champs
brightened the somewhat damp afternoon, and chalk drawing and
educational activities kept younger visitors busy while attendees of
all ages enjoyed free access to exhibitions on view.
