Terra Foundation for American Art
The Guggenheim Foundation is proud to partner with the Terra Foundation for American Art to present Art in America: Three Hundred Years of Innovation. The exhibition, which examines issues of identity, innovation, and scale, demonstrates the central concerns of the history of art in the United States of America. Following its premiere at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing, February 10–April 5, 2007, the exhibition was on view at the Shanghai Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Shanghai, May 1–June 30, 2007; The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, Moscow, July 24–September 9, 2007; and at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, Spain, October 11, 2007–April 27, 2008.
The exhibition’s curatorial team has been led by Thomas Krens, Director, Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, along with Susan Davidson, MA, M Phil, Curator, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum; Betsy Kennedy, PhD, Curator of the Collection, Terra Foundation for American Art; and Nancy Mowll Mathews, PhD, Eugenie Prendergast Senior Curator of 19th and 20th Century Art, Williams College Museum of Art.

Selections from the Guggenheim Bilbao Collection II
November 15, 2011–October 28, 2012This exhibition is the second in a series scheduled to take place between 2009 and 2012 featuring works from the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao collection. On this occasion, the exhibition examines the artistic debates of the 1970s and 1980s initiated by a generation of European artists whose careers began in the 1960s and 1970s.
