Haunted: Contemporary Photography/Video/Performance underscores how much of contemporary art seems haunted by the past, by ghostly apparitions that are reanimated in reproductive media, as well as in live performance and the virtual world. "We are specifically interested," says Jennifer Blessing, Curator of Photography, "in how technologies like photographs show us the past in the present; they seem to haunt us because we see so viscerally today what happened in the past." Highlighted in the exhibition are such artists as Marina Abramović, Tacita Dean, Roni Horn, Robert Rauschenberg, Cindy Sherman, Jeff Wall, and Andy Warhol.
