Guided tours for adults are led by Gallery Educators who have specialized knowledge about the
museum’s exhibitions, permanent collection, and architecture. Guided tours last
approximately one hour and are available for individuals and groups of up to 20 people.
Additional Gallery Educators are needed for groups larger than 20. Guided tours must be paid
for two weeks in advance and are nonrefundable.

Gallery Educators work with you to develop a Custom Tour based on a
theme or topic of particular interest to your group. Recent subjects have included women artists
on view, color theory, and the art of the 1960s.

What does it mean for an artist to work in black and white? This tour will explore an important premise of the show, that the artist purged color in order to highlight formal structure in his work. $215 (per 20 people).

Medium, Technique, Process
Picasso utilized and combined a variety of mediums in his work, generating astounding play and creativity in his technique. This tour will take a close look at the expressive repercussions of this aspect of the artist’s process. $215 (per 20 people).

Picasso’s earliest work was painted in a traditionally classical style; most of the rest of the artist’s career was spent rebuking that style and the human form was a major source of inspiration and exploration.
